Things to know about tanker seals

One can't be secure or safe enough when driving trucks or tankers transporting high-value goods to another state or city. The truck driver goes through different terrains and has to safely make sure that the contents he is carrying in the container reach the destination. That is a significant reason why it is significant to use tanker seals, which don't provide fool-proof protection but offer deterrence to any possible theft or criminal activity. Furthermore, suppose the truck is transporting any hazardous material in the cargo. In that case, it becomes even more crucial to get the door appropriately sealed to avoid tampering as any spill might prove to be fatal to the people around at large.

Two kinds of seals are used for the tanker

· The single type is usually made of plastic or metal. The metal seals can be bought in several different designs like cable seals, ball seals, and bolt seals. These one-time use seals are easy to install onto the doors and need to be cut later when the cargo reaches its destination. Hence, any tampering, if done, can be detected easily. These are generally pre-numbered for tracking down and identifying evidence of any tampering activity. Plastic seals are often preferred as they are easy to cut.

· A reusable seal is usually electronic or mechanical; a few portions of such seals can be developed from plastic; however, not the whole mechanism. The seals are fitted onto the loading door and, upon being sealed, create a unique log-in number. So, when the tanker door is opened, any sort of tampering activity would be very evident.

These two tanker seals are pretty inexpensive ways of making the truck or the trailer tamper-proof.

Advantages of using cable locks or seals for tankers:

· Easy-to-install:

As discussed above, it's much easier to install cable seals on the tanker's loading door and remain extremely secure once in place. Furthermore, they are easy to cut open and unload when the cargo reaches its destination. There is nothing worse for the tanker driver to get to the unloading dock, only to know that the firm does not have a proper bolt cutter when there's a bolt seal connected. Hence, cable seals are much more convenient when it comes to removing them later while unloading.

· Fit perfectly:

The cable seals come with adjustable loop sizes that fit perfectly into different sizes of tanker doors. Besides, these seals are even ideal for rail car doors as it's quite impossible to get a bolt seal inserted into such doors.

· Protection against tampering:

A cable seal is a great way to prevent anyone from vandalizing or tampering with your valuable items. Once the seal is installed correctly, it would show evidence of vandalism or tampering. The seals need to be cut open for being removed.

· Helps in identification

They come imprinted with a number. They are also available in different colors, and you can also customize them with logos or your personal designs. This will help you in better identification of the item. So, go for it now.
